The Leader of Learning PDHPE must be an enthusiastic, talented teaching professional to lead our dynamic PDHPE learning area. Preference will be given to suitable applicants with qualifications and experience in successfully teaching PDHPE in both Junior and Senior school.
St Patrick's Marist College is a comprehensive Coeducational Catholic school in the Marist tradition.


The successful applicant will:
- demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, academic and pastoral dimensions of College life.
- have experience teaching the academic/theory component of the PDHPE Curriculum Years 7-12.
- see themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning.
- work collaboratively with their team of teachers to design inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding.
- lead the development of social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student.
- integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning.
- lead and use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples to inform 'next steps' for students.
- regularly provide team teachers and students feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle.
- demonstrate a deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin:
* inquiry-based learning (including PBL)
* creativity and critical thinking.
* responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems.
- know and apply NESA and Catholic Education , Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) requirements.
- have demonstrated the understanding and application of the whole school policies and procedures concerning WHS, student welfare, accident & injury response and reporting.
- have classification or be in the process of obtaining classification with the Catholic Education Diocese Parramatta.
- have a current Working With Children Check.
