What an incredible few days for our Year 9 students at the Great Aussie Bush Camp in Tea Gardens! π¦πΊβΊοΈ From abseiling and the mud run to sea kayaking, the giant swing, Challenge night and beach games, our students embraced every challenge with courage, teamwork, and positivity πͺππ The camp was a huge success, weβre so proud of how they supported one another and got involved in every activity! π Unlocking Student Potential at St Patrickβs Marist College! π Last week, our Year 9 students took part in Week 3 of the Work Readiness Course, featuring an inspiring βUnlocking myDESIGNβ workshop delivered by Kirstene Ciappara, Co-Founder of myDESIGN β proudly supported by Parramatta City Council and the Parramatta Eels ππ Through the innovative S.I.M. Last week, One of our teachers, Mr Peter Flemingβs play βThe Crypt Dialoguesβ was one of five finalists in the Silver Gull Awards at the New Theatre, Newtown! π Out of more than 70 entries, five plays were selected β and we are excited to announce Mr Flemings was among them! πβ¨ βThe Crypt Dialoguesβ intertwines two extraordinary stories with an unexpected connection. During WWII, Pope Pius XII ordered an archaeological dig to uncover the bones of St Peter beneath the Vaticanβs high altar ποΈβͺ β while secretly using the site for meetings with Joseph βJoey Oxβ Muller, a German resistor plotting to overthrow Hitler. βοΈ Two eras, two empires β the Roman Empire and the Third Reich β linked by the struggle against tyranny.
